A wooden porch shields the west walls from hot afternoon sun, and provides a cool place to sit, overlooking a meadow and creek.



The bale walls rest on a wood floor above the ground. Large windows featured generous window seats.

The truss roof was overhung 3' for rain and sun protection and stuccoed to protect from wildfires.
